The new linq provider should be documented in the main NHibernate documentation that is available for the 3.0 release.

Has any work been done on this? I would like to undertake this in order to improve my understanding of the Linq provider and how it compares to QueryOver. I am not an NH expert so would need a bit of feedback and guidance but can put together a first draft myself.

I didn't see anything at https://github.com/nhibernate/nhibernate.github.io/tree/master/doc/nhibernate-reference that seems to be about the Linq provider so I guess this is still up-for-grabs, but wanted to check noone is working on it before starting.

  • Any specific extensions to the base linq implementation that exist to support NHibernate usage

  • Query examples

  • Unsupported features

  • Details for extending the linq provider
