Chapter 4-4.1 in the docs is a bit vague

Description

The example where ExampleRevEntity does not inherit from DefaultRevisionEntity the code shown does not work. Fields are private, not properties and the fact that one has to create a mapping is not clear. Maybe the code was copied directly from the Java-Docs?

Ok. Thanks, I will merge it.

But... The example in the docs works if you use attribute configuration - right? It's just a matter when you use fluent configuration?

Hi Roger,

i will provide a suggestion based on the current docs.

Yes, it's most probably copied from Java docs .
Do you have some suggestion what it should say instead?

However...

  • No. Your revision entity doesn't have to derive from DefaultRevisionEntity (but maybe that's not what you mean).

  • Yes. IIRC - revision number and timestamp can be private (probably fluent configuration lacks this in its API though).
